It took way too long to get this episode out, but the spotty WiFi connections across Barcelona and the 5+ GB size of the original YouTube edition kept Josh from getting this special podcast out to you earlier. So sorry, but not too much because this episode is still EPIC.

Coming to you live from 'the other side of the pond,' Joshua Vergara is joined by a great group of special guests to bring you this MWC 2016 special episode. Nicole Scott (@nicole_scooter), Jaime Rivera (@jaime_rivera), Michael Fischer (@Captain2Phones) and Myriom Joire (@tnkgrl) all recount their first days of the show in Barcelona, Spain. Talk about the Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5 lead to a spirited discussion on the Launcher situation on Android. Check in to see how these five feel about the idea of removing the app drawer and so much more on this 90 minute special episode.

Our regular hosts will have plenty to say about MWC next week, but for now, enjoy the party atmosphere from the show, and be sure to watch the YouTube version for even more fun. Don't forget to check out the written companion at androidauthority.com.

Host Joshua Vergara returns as host this week and is joined by Jonathan Feist, Joe Hindy, and Nirave Gondhia to focus upon a few of the best topics from the week's news. On the docket this week, we have Microsoft buying (and potentially dooming) Swiftkey), the USB Type-C debacle, and a wistful discussion about users' needs versus actual smartphone progress. It's another fun-filled podcast episode, so hit that play button!

ALSO, next week marks our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY episode! 52 whole weeks of the AA Podcast have been done for your listening pleasure and in celebration of this milestone, the guys are going to field YOUR QUESTIONS in a Mailbag episode! Make sure you visit AndroidAuthority.com and our social media pages to find where you can put your own questions in, potentially to be answered on the podcast!

In Josh's absence this week, it was only fair that we poke fun at him for his pink iPhone. Jonathan Feist, Joe Hindy and Nirave Gondhia take the stage for discussion on the upcoming Final Fantasy IX release on Android, Marshmallow on the Samsung Galaxy S6, a new approach for the Galaxy S7 and then ramble on about Launchers, skins, phone distribution philosophy and more.

In one of our more on-topic podcasts in a while, and certainly one of our longest shows, join us for some fun then check out the links to these stories and more over in the show notes at AndroidAuthority.com!

After issuing a few SPOILER ALERTS for apparently no reason at all (don't worry, they aren't all that bad), the fellas get into a slightly more structured look at the week's Android news. Josh, Jonathan, Andrew, and Joe each brings stories that they liked over the last week and discuss.

New app updates, reactions to Google's unification of Android elements, and thoughts about the recently released Huawei Mate 8 review are on the table this week. For links to these stories, head over to the show notes at AndroidAuthority.com!

Pretty much everyone from the AA Podcast got to head to CES and see some great technology - except Joe. With that in mind, Joshua Vergara and Jonathan Feist ask Joe Hindy's opinion as a sort of outsider regarding what went down at the show. The guys end up reacting to Huawei as the apparent star of the show and Joe rants about why the rest of the companies may have dropped the ball this year.

We're all glad to be back home and healthy after the Consumer Electronics Show of 2016, so join us for our return episode of the AA Podcast!

Near the end, we hear from the guys as they tell us what they hope for most in this upcoming year of 2016.

Mark Burstiner (@markb) and Nicole Scott (@nicole_scooter) join Josh (@jvtechtea) at the Android Authority booth to talk about the first couple days of CES 2016. Security issues, Nicole's unbelievable love of EMUI, and being 'on fleek' are among the topics in this hilarious third episode live from the Consumer Electronics Show.

In the dead of night on the first official day of CES, Josh gets together with Jonathan Feist and Edgar Cervantes to recount all of the events leading up to that evening. Press conferences, free phones, Android/PC bridges, and a lot of gushing about the official Android Authority booth in the South Hall are abound in this episode of the AAP.

Oh, and Josh makes a big confession.

Join us as Josh brings you a podcast every day that Android Authority is in Las Vegas for CES! And, along with our faithful podcast listeners, all of you YouTube fans can enjoy full video podcasts, too!

At media event Pepcom the night before CES actually began, the Android Authority Podcast team (with a returning Joshua Vergara) huddled around one of the small standing tables to drink and talk tech, Vegas, and the spectacle that is CES (that hadn't even started yet).

Joining Josh, Nirave, and Edgar is Nicole Scott of MobileGeeks along with appearances by PocketNow's Stephen Schenck, Adam Doud, and a brief Michael Fisher and Jaime Rivera sighting.

It's an hour of craziness as the podcast guests wind down the first couple days of work in Las Vegas.

Join us for our last episode of 2015! Jonathan Feist, Andrew Grush, Joe Hindy and Nirave Gondhia are all on board to share a few laughs as we recap our first year of the podcast. We guessed a few things right, and even more wrong, but we joked and laughed through it all. When we eventually recovered from the humor of our year, we finally talked about our hopes and expectations for 2016 and CES, which happens next week. We're stoked to have Josh returning at CES, look for his return in our next episode. This is as good as 'The Best of 2015' as we get, enjoy!

Dec 25, 2015

For this holiday week, Jonathan Feist, Andrew Grush and Joe Hindy got together to talk about their plans and the weather. Our boss and a few of our YouTube personalities, including Josh, sent a greeting message for you, and we managed to talk about Google's self driving car initiative for no more than a few seconds before going off track, literally and figuratively. I suppose we should conclude that at least two thirds of our panel would benefit from this expected partnership with Ford.

With just one more show before the end of the year, we want to thank you again, it is your continued support that makes this all possible. We enjoy sharing a laugh with you each week. We hope that you and yours have a wonderful holiday season.

With most of our regular panel back on the show, join Jonathan Feist with Andrew Grush, Joe Hindy, Nirave Gondhia and returning guest Jimmy Westenberg. Star Wars once again dominates our talks, with the movie release just the day before we recorded, we talk about the promotions and tech utilized by Google and more.

Following up with our Best of Android series on the site, the final winners have been announced and we talk quickly about how we feel about the results. Finally, if you were given the chance to name the next release of Android, what would it be?

Dec 14, 2015

Join us for an informative and Star Wars Cardboard riddled episode of the Android Authority Podcast! In the absence of almost our entire panel, Jonathan Feist is joined by Lanh Nguyen, Jimmy Westenberg and Rog Triggs. We journey through Android's multi-tasking capabilities, especially as found on the Pixel C, we talk about our thoughts and expectations for Samsung's next flagship release, the Galaxy S7, and discuss quickly how HTC is turning things around by playing it safe.

If you have not seen it yet, we are very excited for our Best of Android series on the site, where we've taken our choices for phone of the year and put them to the test on multiple levels. Come check out our in-depth testing of display, audio, performance, user experience and more of our favorite Android phones of 2015.

Dec 7, 2015

With Joshua Vergara enjoying some time away this December, Jonathan Feist is leading the way with Andrew Grush, Joe Hindy and Nirave Gondhia rounding out the discussions and shenanigans. As we recap our Thanksgiving adventures, the conversation turns to our Black Friday purchases and how the technology behind our new toys may change what we purchase next. Specifically, we explore display technology, share our thoughts on LCD vs OLED vs Quantum Dot, debate how important display resolution is to our Android experience and learn how one of us managed to save Christmas. Enjoy AA Podcast #043.

Nov 28, 2015

Join us for a very special episode of the Android Authority Podcast! The full panel gets together (Joe Hindy, Jonathan Feist, Nirave Gondhia, Andrew Grush) and follow Josh on a Thanksgiving journey - they talk about the different plans they have for Thanksgiving before getting into the typical talk of what they're grateful for. However, sprinkled among all of that are small rants about family, a bit of wine and whiskey, and talk about what YOU are thankful for! It's the longest episode we might have ever recorded, but it also might be one of the funnest.

If you're coming back from the Black Friday shopping, we hope that you stayed safe. If you're just listening along with your Thanksgiving leftovers, pour the gravy on the turkey and press play!

Nov 23, 2015

Joe Hindy and Jonathan Feist get together this week with Josh to talk about the topics of the week, but there weren't too many things to talk about during another slow news week. With the holiday season fast approaching, the guys talk about Black Friday one more time, pondering what items they might want to get if they got out of the house to actually battle the crowds (Joe has already decided that he won't).

But after a few check-ins and some talk about Josh's experience appearing on TWiT's All About Android, the gang checks on their subscription services and risks realizing just how much money they're burning on what has become a micro-payment, subscription-based world. Join us for a really chill but enjoyable episode of the Android Authority Podcast!

Also, this week we will be getting together for a special Thanksgiving episode - so stay tuned!

Josh Vergara leads Andrew Grush, Joe Hindy, Jonathan Feist and Nirave Gondhia through an interesting conversation on carriers, the idea was to discuss net neutrality and T-Mobile's new video streaming perks, but we divert into looking at pricing and features. We share some of our own insights on data services in our local areas and for our international travel. From there, Josh and Nirave both have the new BlackBerry Priv in hand, come hear what they have to say about this new Android phone with a slide-out keyboard. Enjoy AA Podcast #040.

Nov 10, 2015

Josh is joined this week by Jonathan Feist, Andrew Grush, and Joe Hindy as the slow news week winds down. Though it was definitely a slower week than most, that didn't keep the guys from finding things to talk about - exploding spare batteries, wireless chargers, and new VR applications. But the main topics focus upon the DROID line in Verizon and how they believe these phones should be available outside of just that one carrier. To round things out, they speak about the OnePlus X ahead of what will be Josh's full review later this week.

Even in a slow news week, the guys find a way to bring a full session of the Android Authority Podcast - discussing topics in Android every single week.

Nov 1, 2015

With Josh Vergara sitting this one out, Jonathan Feist leads while Andrew Grush, Joe Hindy and Nirave Gondhia spend a good amount of time saying really nice things about the OnePlus X and the Samsung Galaxy View. One is a decidedly mid-range smartphone with a fairly small display, the other is a decidedly mid-range tablet with a honkin’ big 18.4-inch display. We are split on our thoughts of a merger between Android and Chrome OS; opinions are all over the place, fueled by the basic uncertainty as to what exactly may or may not happen to Android and that other OS that Google has. Enjoy AA Podcast #038.

Oct 28, 2015

A very chill episode of the Android Authority Podcast brings Jonathan Feist, Joe Hindy, and host Joshua Vergara together to talk about a number of simple topics: the HTC One A9, the iPhone, rumors about the OnePlus X, and bug bites. Despite how chill it might have been, the days that immediately followed were definitely really busy, so we apologize for the later release of this episode! But you can still join the three guys as they laugh their Friday away.

Oct 19, 2015

With Joshua Vergara and Joe Hindy sitting this one out, Jonathan Feist leads while Andrew Grush and Nirave Gondhia spend a good amount of time figuring out if OnePlus has a good marketing strategy with the Two, or if they are just a little bonkers. Android Marshmallow continues to roll out, with LG announcing they'll be the first non-Nexus devices to get the update. With all of these new and exciting devices on the market, last generation devices are starting to see some amazing price tags, listen on to find out if we think the Nexus 6 is still a good buy. (My apologies this time folks, the audio quality on this was sub-par, we've since publicly shamed the one that caused the issues and have repaired the problem for next time.) Enjoy AA Podcast #034.

Oct 13, 2015

The full panel gets together this week to mull over what was a pretty slow week in Android news - Joe had just put out a great review of Android Marshmallow, so that serves as our platform for the majority of the episode. Jonathan Feist, Andrew Grush, Nirave Gondhia, Joe Hindy, and host Joshua Vergara talk video games, homescreen setups, and even cars for a minute because the Marshmallow conversation just naturally veers in that direction. We know that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but you guys should know by now that the digressions come hard and fast for the AA Podcast crew!

But in light of a slow Android news week, we had to talk about the week's biggest news - the return of Windows Mobile. Though Nokia as a company is, for the most part, fully absorbed into Microsoft and virtually unrecognizable, the new Lumia devices did actually get us a little excited for a platform that simply doesn't get a lot of play compared to Android and iOS. Will we dive into the Lumias and do a few off-platform reviews? Only time will tell, but until then we have this conversation about the new announcements.

Oct 5, 2015

Google recently announced two new Nexus devices, is there anything more to say? Of course there is. Josh leads the entire panel through some talk about school road mayhem, a slight point of contention for Joe and Nirave. Andrew and Jonathan were a little more relaxed about it. Conversation shifts to tablets and TabTimes, ever so briefly, before we dive into the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. We make the obvious comparisons to other devices like the Moto X Pure and ponder why LG announced the V10 right in the mix. Although not an after thought, Google also announced the Pixel C, a large productivity tablet with keyboard cover, not exactly a game changer, or is it? Join us for this and more, and we hope you have as much fun as we did. (Even though Josh calls it episode #33 in his intro, no worries, it's still the next show.) Enjoy AA Podcast #034.
